Drug Testing

Picture of LaboratorySRCPI, Inc. offers a variety of methods for testing applicants for the presence of alcohol or illegal drugs. Urine testing, hair testing, saliva and breath alcohol are offered under controlled conditions at a local clinic, or at your facility using one of our trained contractors. We offer both non-regulated and D.O.T. regulated testing. Samples (hair, urine, saliva) are sent to a certified lab following a strict chain of custody protocol. Test results are delivered to you (usually within 24 – 48 hours for negative test results) electronically (via our secure web site). As an alternative, SRCPI, Inc. offers on-site, instant drug and alcohol testing kits. All test results are sent to our Medical Review Officer (MRO) for review. The MRO we utilize is a licensed physician with special training and experience in this field. Your applicant will be contacted by phone by our MRO when test results are positive. During the telephone interview, the MRO will determine if there is a legitimate medical explanation for the positive results. That explanation will then be verified and documented prior to the results being released to you.

Picture of Medical SymbolA medical review of drug test results protects both employers and employees from the liabilities inherent in any drug testing program. A drug free workplace often means: reduced absenteeism & tardiness, increased productivity, a safer work environment as well as potentially lower worker’s compensation and health care insurance premiums.

As an SRCPI, Inc. client, you will be provided with Chain of Custody forms that bear your unique account information. You provide one of these forms to your applicant and direct them to a local clinic (on-site testing is also available) where identity is verified and a sample is collected under controlled conditions. The sample is sent via overnight delivery to a certified laboratory where testing is conducted. Negative test results are reported to you as soon as they are available via our secure web site. Positive test results require our MRO to conduct a telephone interview with your applicant prior to results being released to you. We can also arrange computer-based and onsite training programs for supervisors, employee drug and alcohol awareness programs, consulting services and assistance with policy development.
